We are now on holiday for the festive season until 14th January 2020. For our end of year get together, we went to watch one of my students, Louis, on the double bass at a Swing and Jazz night. It was a pleasure to see Louis in his element and make merry at a cracking night out at Jamboree in East London. There was dancing, oversized pizza and good company. I even ended up in an oil painting (see above). Now it is not often you can say that about a night out.
Next year term starts on Tuesday 14th January and runs until Easter. We’re making some changes to the Tai Chi class on Tuesday evenings next year to welcome beginners. Class will be 90 minutes long, and we will study a basic Tai Chi form known at the 13 Wudang Principles. This class will still be taught in a Traditonal Wudang style by me and my most experienced students. Thursday daytime and evening classes start on the 16th, and the first weekend workshop of the year is on Saturday January 18th at Walthamstow Wetlands centre.
A trip to Wudang Mountains to study sword is planned for next Easter, and a weekend UK countryside retreat over the summer is in planning stages. I hope you all have an excellent festive season with good food and cheer to see you into the winter. See you in January 2020.
